Saturday

On call today...not very excited about it, but oh well, that is life I guess. Don't have much to say. I love this picture that Emma drew of me. Notice that purple thing in my nose, apparently that is a nose ring. Also notice all the makeup I have on.

Here is an unexciting layout I had to make for Scrappy Giraffe about a day in my life. Notice my bedtime that day in the lower right corner...no wonder I'm tired all the time =).

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

And so it continues...

My lack of motivation is continuing. Excuses? Of course. I am getting sick, which is lovely. Soccer 3x per week...I am NOT a soccer mom, yuck. I continue to watch season 2 of Grey's Anatomy. I did accomplish some things today though:
*worked
*did a training session with my PT, muscles will be sore tomorrow
*upgraded my cell phone to the Motorola RAZR which is super cool, skinny...fits in my pocket. I like it.
*Bought a couple of shirts at Target for the girls for the photos
*Showered and did my hair for the photos (can I tell you about the ionic hair dryer? Totally cool. Instead of 45 minutes to dry my hair {which would make it look like I put my finger in a light socket} it takes like 10 and without the frizz...thank you Angela for informing me of this marvelous invention)
*Took the girls for a yearly photo at Target. Also got one of the 3 of us together. They were okay. Probably my least favorite session though out of all the times I've taken them there. I was going to show you the photos, but they are not online yet.
*Ate
*Took the girls to their church thingy
*Played with my cell phone
*Printed photos for the October layouts I still need to do for Scrappy Giraffe
Things I still need to do tonight:
*watch Grey's anatomy =)
*sleep
That's all for tonight. Maybe I'll have some photos tomorrow to show you.

Overall Lack of Motivation

So I seem to be lacking motivation in my life right now...can't tell you exactly why. Don't worry, I'm not depressed, actually am perfectly happy. Just don't feel like doing much...blogging, cooking, cleaning, working, scrapbooking, the list just goes on and on =). Anyway, to try to get back in the groove I am blogging tonight and I also did a quick layout.

This is my oldest friend that I know of...Chelle (the blond, if you couldn't figure that one out), who is now a cool surgeon. We grew playing with each other quite a bit. We have always talked about this photo...joked about fighting over the purple crayon.

She even gave me a boxed purple crayon for some sort of gift a while back. Needless to say I was very dismayed to turn the photo over tonight when I was in the process of scanning it to read in my mom's handwriting across the back "having their first fight over the brown crayon" Brown?!?! What? It has always been a purple crayon...how disappointing that it was probably really brown. Anyway, I kept it as a purple crayon on the layout just because. Yeah, I know that was really an exciting story, but I can't think of anything else to say tonight. Have a good one. By the way, the above layout was created using the October Scrappy Giraffe Kit

What's your real age?

Found this website today. Real Age . I am apparently chronologically 33.7 years (which sounds quite scary to me), but because of good habits am actually only 28.3. Actually I am probably 25.3 but he who shall remain unnamed added 3 years to my life (that's it? hee, hee) with our situation. I'm thinking though since I'm doing so well I'm going to call myself 25. That sounds good =). Things I could improve on....take my vitamin everyday instead of sporadically, decrease my driving speed (ha!), don't talk on my cell phone when I drive and get a dog (apparently Betty the crazy Idaho cat doesn't cut it). I think that dog thing would add about 10+ years to my age.

As usual, I don't actually have a copy of it, but I have a layout in this book which is now available through amazon and scrapbook stores. I apparently made the table of contents with my picture and my layout is on p. 104. It is the most personal layout I have ever done. Don't look at it unless you need a good cry =). Just warning you.

I obviously haven't seen it, but it should be a good book. Takes a detour from the usual happiness that we tend to document in scrapbooking and goes into less pleasant topics, less than perfect photos, less than perfect situations. Anyway, that is all for now. Have a great day.

Happy Wednesday

I wish everyday was Wednesday. I love having the afternoon off. Could do that every day and be very happy. Got to spend some much needed time to myself this afternoon. I stayed home all afternoon as I was waiting on the satellite T.V. guy to come. Yes...after 21 months with only 4-5 channels, I caved and bought T.V. Not sure why. I miss watching the football games, etc. and just decided to do it. It's pretty cool. I got a DVR with it which I will love. I already have Grey's Anatomy scheduled so that I can start watching season 3 after I finish season 2. Then took the girls to their bible school tonight...and enjoyed even more time alone =). Good day =).
Here are some layouts from the September 3 scrappy boys kit. Can I just put a disclaimer in here? I DON'T DO CUTE. I'm not cute, my personality is not cute, nothing about me is cute. And I don't scrapbook cute. So needless to say, I struggle greatly with "cute" products (also along with themed products if you remember last month). Yuck. Anyway, maybe someone will enjoy these (I don't =). Have a great day.

Trent Wagler And The Steel Wheels

So this is the band my brother is in. I guess he would be considered one of the "steel wheels"? This usually would not be a type of music I would really listen to...but actually I have listened to the thing twice and really like it. They are very talented people. I guess I would call this bluegrass/country. I think my brother had another word to call it, but I can't for the life of me remember. Anyway...check it out Trent Wagler and The Steel Wheels . Here is the cover

Nothing much else to report tonight. I did run a 7:30 mile today and lived to tell about it. Wasn't too bad, wouldn't have wanted to do two though =). Very slowly getting in better shape. Hope everyone is having a great day!

The weekend in pictures

*First things first, my beloved hawkeyes won 27-17. Enough said.
*I seem to be obsessed with Grey's Anatomy, season 2. I'm flying through the episodes. I just can't seem to stop watching.
*We had fun this evening doing some karoke. Got the new high school musical CD out and danced around the living room singing quite loudly. It all ended disatrously when Emma went hysterical cause Bella and I weren't sharing the microphone enough =).
*Anyway, some photos from the weekend....This first one is the party, the girls making their first crafty thing...necklaces. It was pretty cute, we had the high school musical CD on while were doing that and all the girls were singing along with it. Can't appreciate that from the picture.

*Doing some karoke at the party.

*Emma making a book mark. She writes her name quite well for a 3 year old. Brilliant child.

*Bella with her birthday cake.

*Bella and her best friend Megan.

*Playing soccer Saturday morning. She scored 2 goals.

*Emma enjoying the soccer game.

*My whole family came this weekend. My very kind dad reworked some of my yard for me so next summer I will be able to mow the whole thing...hmmm....not sure that is a good thing or not. My grandparents came too and went to stay with my Aunty Carol in the evil city of Ames...came back today to spend the day with us. Here is my Grandma playing a game with Emma.

GO HAWKS!

Alright, I did this last year and it didn't work out so well, but I think this year is different =). Tomorrow my beloved hawkeyes play the very evil nasty Iowa State Cyclones. I hope we kick their butts. GO HAWKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tonight is Bella's birthday party. We are having pizza, pop, cake and doing crafty things....like making lip gloss, jewelry, painting stuff. Should be fun...I hope. Only one is spending the night, the rest I'm sending home. So I should have some fun photos from that to share soon. Hope everyone is having a good day.

Eight

My baby turns eight today (14th)....happy birthday!!! That being said, I must go wrap some presents in typical Stacey procrastination fashion.

Oh...by the way, look at that picture on the far right of Bella at age 3...totally looks like Emma, who of course is three. Have a good day!

No blogging tonight

I am now the proud owner of this.....

So I have at least 18 hours of TV to watch so not going to say much tonight. Be back tomorrow =).

Back from Chicago

Made it back from Chicago. It was kind of dreary and cold weekend so there was not much sight seeing done. Did some shopping, kind of unsuccessfully. Only bought a couple of sweaters and a jar from IKEA. IKEA is kind of amazing, more stuff than my brain could comprehend. A little overwhelming. Also got some necessities at my favorite store....Target. I drive all the way to Chicago to go shopping at Target, go figure. It was nice to be away. I haven't spent more than a few hours away from the girls for at least 3 years, so as much as I missed them, it was fun to just get away too. Got to meet my friend Angela ...who also loves Target =). I think we had a nice time...Thanks for entertaining me Angela!

Also got to see one of my oldest friends Amy, who lives in the great city of Chicago. We have been friends since 5th/6th grade, something like that. Getting to her house was fun. Ran into a parade that I had to make my way around. Took about a year to get there. Driving in Chicago is definitely an interesting experience...people just do whatever the heck they want. Here is a photo of us.

Anyway, that is all for now. Have a great day =).

Last post.....

for awhile. Heading off to the big city of Chicago tomorrow after work. Going to meet my friend Angela . Going to do some shopping and whatever. Should be fun. I believe it has been about 15 years since I have gone on a trip with a friend, seriously. Pretty sad, huh?

I am in pain today. My whole body hurts. I've been trying to kick up my workouts a notch since my appetite has returned over the past week....and I'm really feeling it today. Found a cool website today. www.sparkpeople.com It is free and similar to the type of thing the bodybugg website lets you do (except of course minus the cool stuff the bodybugg does). But it does allow you to log all your food and workouts in, makes recommendations for calorie intake, workouts, menus, analyzes the nutritional content of your diet, etc. I was looking for something like the bodybugg site, but free cause I had a adolescent patient coming in that I was going to do some nutritional counseling with. Oh by the way, the obesity epidemic that you hear about in kids, is very true....you'd be amazed.

Took some photos tonight. Tried to get some of Emma. She unlike her sister, does not like to pose for the camera. Got her kicking the ball.

And then this is her evil look given when she doesn't want me to take anymore pictures of her...which she gave me after about one picture =).

Here is Bella tonight at soccer practice kicking some butt while they were running. The rest of the girls were so far behind they weren't in the picture. That's my girl =).

One more ugly layout

This is the last layout I can muster from the September SG kit. Sucks just like the rest of them, but I'm done so that makes me happy =).

Have a big day tomorrow, only working a few hours then I'm getting my eyes checked. Thinking about getting contacts. I'm supposed to wear glasses when I drive...being that they have been missing since June, I've been breaking the law on a daily basis. I always forgot them half the time anyway and since I think my eyes are getting worse, I might try the contact thing. Maybe I'll get some blue eyes =). Then I'm getting my hair cut, it is a terrible mess and is flying all over the place. Think I'll work out, take the girls to their church thingy. Also should get the oil changed in my car. We'll see how much of that I'll get done. Anyway, that is all for now, have a lovely day.

Happy Holiday Weekend

Hello all. Today was a beautiful day. Was supposed to be cloudy and rainy, but that didn't come until this evening. So we enjoyed beautiful temps and sun. Took a walk to the park and the girls played for an hour or so. Have not really done too much this weekend. Kind of boring. Caught up on sleep which was nice. Got a box from Scrapbook Trends which had my layout, some goodies, and a copy of the mag...here it is. Mine is the bottom one, if you can't tell.

In other exciting scrapbooking news, my BHG layout was approved by the editors at the main office and so will be found in the Feb/March issue I think. I still have a few more coming this year, but that will be my first of 2007.
Here is another layout from the September Scrappy Giraffe Kit . I really struggle with supplies like this. I really realize how much I like color when I have to use muted stuff. Very hard...which is why I think it stinks. Or maybe I just suck and I'm placing the blame elsewhere =). Oh well, I've wanted to put these photos on paper for a long time, so it is done. Emma has this thing for towels. Not quite as much as a year ago, but towels still go MIA relatively frequently around our house. You find them in various places covering babies/stuffed animals, etc. It's kind of cute. I went around the house one day and took pictures of all the towels she had stolen and used to cover up things.

Well, that is all I know for now. Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Thursday

I'm sorry to all my loyal blog readers. I've been a bit of a slacker with updating this week. Been kind of busy. Soccer has started again...I guess that is the only real excuse I have, but it has made me busier. Also haven't had any cool pictures or layouts to post. Anyway, here is a new layout from the September Scrappy Giraffe kit. This is called therapeutic scrapping. Been in a bit of a foul mood today, so this is layout to convince myself that all is well...which in actually it really is well, so it wasn't too hard to convince myself of that. Anyway, gotta sleep. Have a good day.
